Wayne Stewart
Introduction/Background
Wayne Stewart has been in the Property Industry now for some 47 years with enormous experience in both Residential Sales and Development and Project Marketing.
With formal training in Architecture and Building Construction, Wayne’s knowledge of property is vast being able to consult on most areas of property design, repair and value add issues.
Wayne moved from the tools to Managing one of the Country’s largest building companies sales department, and then became State Manager of one of the Country’s largest development companies, before settling into Real Estate Practice itself.
In his Real Estate career Wayne has won multiple awards for his selling skills, he taught Real Estate courses at TAFE at night for 17 years and was elected to The Board of the Real Estate Institute of NSW in 2003. Wayne then served on the Board of REINSW securing State President from 2009-2011 as well as sitting as the Chairman of REINSW for Newcastle and The Hunter Region from 2001 to 2022. In 2016 Wayne was bestowed the highest award in Real Estate “The Woodrow Weight Award” for services to the Industry.
When it comes to experience in Real Estate, there are few who can measure up to Wayne.
Courses/Certifications/Education
After completing formal education in Architecture and Construction, Wayne chose to follow a pathway in building and his own home design company before moving into sales. In an industry which is filled with comprehensive regulation and legislation Wayne has spent a large part of his time attending specialised skills based , legislation based and Management Training including FMRC at Armidale University. Wayne notes however that the best education is “Life Experience” and his time in the Industry coupled with tertiary course gives him enormous skills to assist with his customer’s consultations and success.
Community Involvement/Personal Interests
Through great involvement with both Surf Life Saving and Triathlon, through both his own children’s interests, Wayne has not only used this to motivate his personal fitness but to keep in touch with the sport and communities. Wayne has been a Regional Director of the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal as well as heavily involved with raising funds for St Vincent De Paul and Wespac Helicopter Rescue over the years. With 4 children and 5 grandchildren his family keeps him busy, but he loves his swim every morning and the opportunity to cheer on the Jets or Knights at every opportunity.
