The following privacy policy governs the collection and use of your personal information by Century 21 Australia Pty Ltd, Century 21 Novocastrian its related entities (including but not limited to Centurion Home Loans Services Pty Ltd t/a Century 21 Home Loans and Sure Home Loans), subsidiaries, employees, Franchisees and their employees and real estate agents Contractors and the Agent/Broker that will assist you ("we", "us" or "the Group").

This privacy policy sets out how we intend to respect your rights to privacy in accordance with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may collect personal information from you through our call centres, through our Agents, when interviewing you, through our financial kiosks, from our website and from competitions and promotions to which you choose to respond.

THE PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect personal information about you to enable us to assess your suitability and eligibility for buying or selling a property, property management services, applying for a home loans, insurance policy or for the provision of other services. The types of personally identifiable information we may collect include your name, address, telephone number, email, occupation and financial information.

When we request your personal information, we will endeavour to specify which information we require for our purposes and which information may be provided at your option. You may choose not to supply any optional information requested by us but our ability to assist you may be restricted.

If you give us personal information about another person, you represent that you are authorised to do so and agree that you have obtained consent from that person for us to use and disclose their personal information and that they may access any personal information we hold about them.

COOKIES

A cookie is an electronic token that is passed to the user's browser which passes it back to the server whenever a page is sent to the user. Our servers may generate cookies which are used to keep track of the pages that users have accessed while using the website. The cookie also allows data to be inputted into a form or template and temporarily stored until the user chooses to save that form or template. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use your personal information to assist us in:

  • Completing a transaction to which the provision of that personal information relates, for example, in the completion of application forms;
  • To communicate information about our products and services to you;
  • For our internal administrative, marketing, planning, product development and research requirements;
  • To update a Group Representative and/or third party referrer regarding the progress or success of any product sold to you for example, to calculate a commission or fee; and/or

  • To ascertain the winner of a competition run by Combined Franchise Services Pty Ltd and any of it's franchisees.
  • At any time you may opt out of receiving any communications from us (other than as required for the operation of our business). OVERSEAS DISCLOSURE

We do disclose personal information overseas.

We may use cloud storage, administrative and IT servers that may be located overseas to store the personal information we hold. As electronic or networked storage can be accessed from various countries through an internet connection it is not always practical to know in which country information about an individual may be held.

To the extent that we can identify the countries to which we transfer information to is Philippines.

Please note that in some cases countries to which we transfer information may not have laws or binding schemes that have the effect of protecting your information in a way that overall is at least substantially similar to the way in which the Australian Privacy Principles protect your information, and there may not be any mechanism or binding scheme that you can access to take action to enforce legal protections.

YOUR ACCESS RIGHTS TO THE PERSONAL INFORMATION WE HOLD

At any time, you may ask us to provide you with a list of the personal information we hold about you, and copies of that personal information. We will endeavour to provide you with the data within 30 days of receiving your request. We may charge you a small fee to cover any administrative costs that we may incur in providing personal information to you.

If you believe for any reason that we are holding inaccurate or incomplete data about you, you may ask us to correct it. We will consider if the information requires amendment. If we do not agree that there are grounds for amendment, then we will add a note to the personal information stating that you disagree with it.

Financial information becomes out of date very quickly and so we will update that information if it is required in any future dealings we may have with you.

We will take reasonable steps to destroy or remove identifying information of your personal information, when your personal information is no longer required for our business functions.

Users of the website whose information we either collect, use or disclose have the right to request access to any personal information held by us which relates to them, unless we are permitted to withhold that information. Any requests for access to a user's personal information should be made in writing to the Privacy Officer (details specified below). ANONYMITY AND PSEUDONYMS

General users of the website do not need to disclose their identity to us in order to use this website. This website does not, therefore, collect personal information about people who generally access it except in the circumstances described above.

We are an integral part of an international franchise that operates in numerous countries and with that we provide data and information to REALOGY Corporation (United States of America) for the listing and sale of the property displayed on https://www.century21global.com.www.century21global.com.

If your personal information is disclosed to third parties, these third parties are strictly prohibited from using your personal information for any other purpose. We will only disclose to these third parties that information necessary for them to perform their services. Otherwise, we do not disclose personal information unless we are required to do so by law or regulation.

We are a Contractor network and your personal information may be disclosed between Century 21 and its Agents within the Group to facilitate a transaction to which the provision of that personal information relates or to enable us to properly conduct our business within the Group.

HOW WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or exposure. We require all our Employee, Contractors and Agents (Representatives) to maintain the confidentiality of customer information.

Access to information stored electronically is restricted to our Representatives whose job requires access to the information.

Access to our computer systems is restricted through password protection. If we no longer need your personal information, we destroy or remove the identity information.

INFORMATION SECURITY

We take reasonable steps to protect all information which we hold (including personal information) from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

We may store information about you in cloud or other types of networked or electronic storage. As electronic or networked storage can be accessed from various countries through an internet connection it is not always practical to know in which country personal information about you may be held.
