How to Apply for Properties using 2Apply

Whether you're a first-time renter or a seasoned tenant, this guide will provide you with all the necessary steps and tips to successfully secure your next home in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie area.

Step 1: Accessing 2Apply

  • Visit the 2Apply website (2apply.com.au).
  • If you're a new user, click on 'Register' to create an account. For returning users, log in with your existing credentials.

Step 2: Creating Your Profile

  • Fill in your personal details, including full name, contact information, and current address.
  • Upload necessary documents such as photo ID, proof of income, and rental history. This information is securely stored and can be used for future applications.

Step 3: Searching for Properties

  • You can search for properties directly on 2Apply or other real estate platforms
  • When you find a property listed with 2Apply, click on the 'Apply Now' button associated with the listing.

Step 4: Completing the Application Form

  • The application form will require details about your employment, previous tenancies, and references.
  • Be thorough and honest in your responses. Incomplete or inaccurate information can delay the process.

Step 5: Adding References

  • Provide contact details for your references, including past landlords, employers, or personal referees.
  • It's essential to inform your referees that they will be contacted for a reference check. Prompt responses from them can significantly speed up your application process.

Step 6: Reviewing and Submitting Your Application

Step 9: Holding Deposit

  • If your application is successful, you'll be instructed to pay a holding deposit. This secures the property for you and is typically a week's rent.
  • The holding deposit will be credited towards your first rental payment once the tenancy agreement is signed.

Step 10: Signing Tenancy Agreement and Moving In

  • After the holding deposit is paid, we'll require an additional 2nd week's rent and finalise the tenancy agreement for you to sign. Other important documents will be required to action prior to key handover such as the rental bond payment.
  • We'll then coordinate with you for the move-in date and handover of keys.
